Tru Direction Takes Its Message "Back to School"

To further promote its mission of financial literacy, Tru Direction recently sponsored an educational program for students who participate in the Academy of Finance at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers, Indiana. The seminar focused on the importance of building a strong credit history at an early age. Two banking classes of 15-20 students each benefitted from the special credit seminar presented by Barbara Wood, a member of Tru Direction who also has 20+ years of experience in the lending industry.

Wood reported that the students were engaged and asked great questions about the topic. She also had the opportunity to discuss with the class the differences between credit unions and traditional banks.

Tru Direction plans to return to the school with additional programming next semester.

Meanwhile, if you're interested in bringing a similar program to your school or community organization, send an email to seminars@elfcu.org or call 317.433.5047.
